Inside Photos from AR Rahman’s Daughter Khatija’s Wedding Have Gone Viral

Khatija Rahman, AR Rahman’s daughter, married her fiance, audio engineer Riyasdeen Shaik Mohamed. On his Instagram page, the Grammy Award-winning composer posted a photo from Khatija and Riyasdeen’s wedding and wrote: “May God’s blessings be upon the couple… I appreciate your good wishes and affection in advance.” A portrait of AR Rahman’s late mother is placed on the stage in the family photo from the wedding ceremony. On Instagram, Khatija posted a photo from her wedding and wrote: “It was the most anticipated day of my life. Riyasdeen is my husband. Shruti Agarwal designed and styled the costume, with Kriti Baid as the costume assistant.”

“Hearty congrats Khatija Rahman and Riyasdeen. God bless the beautiful couple,” singer Shreya Ghoshal wrote in the comments section of AR Rahman’s post. Film producer Boney Kapoor added, “Congratulations Mr and Mrs AR Rahman, Wishing the pair a very happy and blissful life.”

In December of last year, Khatija and Riyasdeen got engaged. She announced it on Facebook with the following message: “With the Almighty’s blessings, I am pleased to announce my engagement to Riyasdeen Shaik Mohamed, an ambitious entrepreneur and a Wizkid audio engineer. The engagement took place on my birthday, December 29th, in the presence of close relatives and friends.”

Khatija is a singer and musician, just like her father. She has performed a few songs, including Mimi’s Rock a Bye Baby.
