A Shift Toward Skill-Based Learning: Heritage Debuts New Pune Campus
Across India’s metros, parents are increasingly shifting towards experiential learning — a system that prioritises exploration, creativity and real-world understanding over memorisation. This shift has opened doors for progressive schools that integrate inquiry, design thinking and multi-sensory engagement into the curriculum.
Responding to this demand, Heritage Xperiential Schools has opened HIXS Pune in Kalyani Nagar. The school, known for its highly regarded Gurugram campus model, blends global best practices with Indian values and a research-backed approach to child development.
The launch also hosted the Early Years Summit 2025, featuring international educators Jan Dubiel and Sarah Browne, who discussed purposeful learning environments and early childhood assessment.
Head of School Edward Lawless said the new campus continues Heritage’s legacy of empowering children through meaningful, experiential learning rooted in compassion and curiosity.
The facility will begin admissions from Nursery to Grade 3, offering specialized spaces such as Makerspaces, ateliers, performing arts studios, multi-sensory classrooms and sports areas.
