Air India launches refreshed global inflight menu with Indian and international flavours
Air India has rolled out a new global inflight menu across its fleet, introducing an extensive selection of Indian regional dishes and international cuisine across cabin classes. The menu has been introduced on major international routes from Delhi, Mumbai and Bengaluru, and will be expanded to all international and domestic flights.
Drawing inspiration from India’s diverse culinary landscape—from Awadhi and South Indian cuisines to Delhi street food—the menu also incorporates Pan-Asian and European bistro influences along with geo-specific star dishes. First and Business Class guests will be offered gourmet meals, artisanal breads and curated beverage pairings, while Premium Economy and Economy travellers will see upgraded trays featuring wholesome regional options.
The redesigned menu features signature dishes such as Awadhi Paneer Anjeer Pasanda, Murgh Massalam, Rajasthani besan chilla, Teppanyaki bowls, Mediterranean tapas and Gen Z-oriented items like chicken bibimbap and matcha delice. A dedicated range of vegan, gluten-free and allergen-aware meals has also been added.
Curated by Chef Sandeep Kalra, the new menu comes as part of Air India’s broader transformation under Vihaan.AI. The airline has also introduced sustainability measures including local sourcing, compostable packaging and reduced single-use plastics.
Chief Customer Experience Officer Rajesh Dogra said the refreshed offerings reflect Air India’s commitment to innovation and customer-centric dining.
