Apollo Hospitals opens new Pune facility, promises next-generation quaternary care

Apollo Hospitals on Monday opened its newest centre in Swargate, Pune—an advanced quaternary care hospital starting with 250 beds and scaling up to 400 beds as part of a phased rollout. Built around patient-centred care, the facility aims to elevate clinical outcomes for families across Maharashtra.

“Our mission is to bring health and happiness into every home,” said Chairman Dr. Prathap C Reddy, adding that the facility blends clinical excellence with compassion.

Executive Vice Chairperson Dr. Preetha Reddy said the new hospital builds on Apollo’s legacy of innovation, while Dr. Suneeta Reddy highlighted its role in strengthening access to high-end care for Pune’s growing population.

The hospital features modular operating theatres, robotic surgery, precision oncology, specialised transplant units, dedicated mother-and-child floors, Level III NICUs and PICUs, and more than 100 critical care beds. Digital PET-CT, LINAC radiotherapy and IoT-enabled monitoring support clinical accuracy and continuity of care.

Dr. Manisha Karmarkar, CEO of Apollo Hospitals Pune, said the facility reflects Apollo’s commitment to the city’s evolving healthcare landscape, especially as Pune’s tech-driven growth accelerates.
