Tata Power Solaroof Adds Over 1 GWp Rooftop Solar Capacity in FY26 (9M)
Tata Power Solaroof has added more than 1 GWp of rooftop solar capacity in the first nine months of FY26, reinforcing its position as India’s leading rooftop solar solutions provider. The additions represent 127% year-on-year growth over the 444.78 MWp installed during the same period in FY25.
During FY26 (9M), the company onboarded 1.7 lakh new customers across residential, commercial and industrial segments, a 345% increase over the corresponding period last year. Cumulative installations have now crossed 3 lakh customers, translating into more than 4 GWp of installed rooftop solar capacity across India.
The October–December quarter of FY26 was the strongest, with 58,476 installations and 372 MWp capacity added, compared with 17,092 installations in Q3 FY25.
Uttar Pradesh recorded the highest installations in FY26 (9M) with 30,857 installations aggregating 128.13 MWp. Maharashtra followed with 21,044 installations (126.33 MWp), while Gujarat added 18,907 installations contributing the highest capacity of 143.02 MWp. Telangana recorded 14,622 installations totaling 62.08 MWp.
Cumulatively, Maharashtra leads with 855.21 MWp capacity from 41,827 installations, followed by Gujarat (525.81 MWp), Tamil Nadu (318.35 MWp) and Chhattisgarh (285.62 MWp). Tata Power Solaroof operates through a pan-India network of over 650 channel partners and continues to contribute toward India’s renewable energy targets of 500 GW by 2030.
