AIBI Convention Sees Launch of Issuer Handbook, Compliance Referencer by SEBI Chairman
The 14th Annual Convention of the Association of Investment Bankers of India (AIBI) was held at the Jio World Convention Centre, Mumbai, drawing more than 1,500 participants from across the regulatory, policy, investment and capital markets ecosystem.
Held under the theme “IPOs India: Gateway to Global Capital, Sustainable Growth, Viksit Bharat,” the Convention examined the evolving role of India’s primary markets in enabling sustainable economic growth and attracting global capital.
The Convention was attended by SEBI Chairman Shri Tuhin Kanta Pandey, along with senior market leaders including NSE MD & CEO Ashishkumar Chauhan, BSE MD & CEO Sundararaman Ramamurthy and AIBI Chairman Mahavir Lunawat. Senior officials from SEBI, stock exchanges, asset managers, merchant bankers and issuers were also present.
The agenda included discussions on capital formation, SME IPOs, mutual funds, regulatory reforms and transparency in IPO markets, along with a dedicated session linking IPO reforms to India’s long-term economic goals.
AIBI unveiled several initiatives at the Convention, including Preparing Offer Document: Standard Practices and Disclosures, Handbook for Issuers, Investor Handbook, an MoU with ICMA London, Investor Focused Prospectus Navigation Guide, White Paper on Capital Formation, AIBI 2nd Annual Magazine, Merchant Banker Compliance Referencer, an Investor Awareness Video and Shadow Art – Informed Investor.
Addressing the gathering, Mr. Mahavir Lunawat said, “India is at an inflection point where capital markets are growing more stronger with continuously widening investor base, At AIBI, our continuous efforts are focussed on creating a robust investment culture and enabling access to knowledge and intelligence for better capital formation and these initiatives are a step in that direction”.
The Convention concluded with AIBI reiterating its commitment to supporting a resilient, transparent and globally competitive capital market framework.
