Godrej Enterprises Group Eyes 15% Revenue from Data Centres in Three Years
Godrej Enterprises Group is scaling up its presence in India’s high-growth data centre market with integrated solutions in Power Infrastructure, Electrical Busducts and Green Consulting Services. The Group’s Energy Solutions business is targeting 10–15% of its revenue from the data centre segment over the next three years.
The strategy comes amid strong policy support from the Government of India, including incentives and tax holidays for data centre and cloud infrastructure, as announced during the Union Budget 2026. These measures aim to establish India as a global digital infrastructure hub.
Raghavendra Mirji, Business Head – Godrej Energy Solutions, says, “India’s data centre sector is entering a high-growth phase, supported by strong policy measures and rising digital infrastructure demand. However, these facilities are also among the most energy-intensive assets being built today. This creates a significant opportunity for our Power Infrastructure business to construct state of the art facilities for ensuring reliable electricity. By pairing our modular Busduct systems with Green Building expertise, we can also help hyperscalers and enterprises scale rapidly in India while cutting energy use, cost, and carbon. With our green consulting expertise and experience in providing electrical solution to large-scale projects, we are well-positioned to support this transition.”
With rising AI adoption, cloud expansion and data localisation mandates, India’s installed data centre capacity is projected to reach nearly 1.7 GW in the near term. As facilities grow more energy-intensive, the need for reliable substations, efficient busduct systems and green consulting to achieve Net-Zero goals is intensifying.
Godrej has delivered multiple Greenfield and Colocation projects aligned with IGBC and LEED standards and continues to work with leading hyperscale operators across India.
