The initiative, launched in 2014, focuses on strengthening livestock healthcare systems and enhancing rural livelihoods. This year, nearly 1.4 lakh cattle received medical attention, while over 14,000 individuals were provided healthcare support, benefiting more than 30,000 households.
The camps were organised across 510 SMFG Gramshakti branches, delivering free veterinary check-ups, medicines, vaccinations, and productivity advisory services for milch animals.
The 2026 edition carried the theme ‘Sarvottam Seva: Pashu, Parivar aur Pragati’, reflecting the integrated approach linking livestock wellbeing to family income security and rural economic resilience.
Mr. Ravi Narayanan, Managing Director & CEO, SMFG India Credit, highlighted that sustainable rural progress depends on strengthening livestock health and community wellbeing simultaneously.
