Air India uses festive cuisine to boost customer experience across network

Air India is leveraging India’s festive calendar to enhance passenger experience, introducing curated meals onboard and in lounges for Eid-ul-Fitr, Navratri and Gudi Padwa.

The move is part of the airline’s broader strategy to blend hospitality with cultural storytelling as it undergoes transformation under the Tata Group.

A key highlight includes serving Sheer Khurma across all flights departing on 20 March 2026. The offering spans all cabin classes and routes, including domestic, international and return sectors.

The airline has ensured uniformity in execution by working with multiple catering partners such as TajSATS, Oberoi Flight Services, Casino Air Caterers and Flight Services (CAFS), and Ambassador’s Sky Chef (ASC).

Air India has also extended the experience to ground services. The Maharaja Lounge at Delhi International Airport is offering a Navratri thali, while the Adani Lounge in Mumbai has curated menus for both Gudi Padwa and Eid celebrations.

“This initiative reflects Air India’s ongoing focus on enhancing customer experience by blending service excellence with India’s cultural richness, creating meaningful, immersive moments for customers across its global network.”

The initiative comes as Air India continues its five-year transformation programme, Vihaan.AI, aimed at repositioning the airline as a global premium carrier.
