Lara Dutta Bhupathi: “I’m overjoyed and thrilled at Harnaaz’s win at Miss Universe”
It would take somebody like actress-producer Lara Dutta Bhupathi to get what Miss Universe 2021 Harnaaz Sandhu is feeling right now. Crowned Miss Diva Universe 2021, Harnaaz, who is all of 21 years, represented India at the Miss Universe pageant in Eilat, Israel, where she beat contestants from several nations to bring the title home. Before Harnaaz, Lara Dutta Bhupathi had won the crown 21 years prior at the turn of the millennium, and Sushmita Sen had won it in 1994. Celina Jaitly and more as of late, Adeline Castelino concluded their Miss Universe pageant journeys in the top five.
Lara, who was occupied in a shoot, took time off to share her happiness to the Bombay Times. She says. “I’m overjoyed and thrilled at Harnaaz’s win at Miss Universe! She was a strong contender throughout and was an exemplary representative for India on the world stage! After 21 long years, it’s a billion dreams come true! I wish her a glorious reign ahead and many great adventures as the new Miss Universe.”
Harnaaz, who is a Chandigarh-based model, currently completing her master’s degree in public administration, was crowned by Andrea Meza of Mexico, who won the pageant in 2020.
