Hema Malini mourns the loss of Lata Mangeshkar, says “Lataji has left us to continue her divine music in heaven”

Weeks after battling health issues, Indian music industry’s golden voice Lata Mangeshkar left for her heavenly abode. She reportedly died at 8.12 am. Her mortal remains to be taken to Shivaji Park for individuals to pay homage.

Condolences messages have been pouring in via social media as they are remembering and honoring the homage to the legendary singer. Hema Malini likewise took to her Twitter account to mourn the loss of the legendary singer.

Posting some throwback photos of Lata Mangeshkar, Hema wrote, ‘Feb 6 is a dark day for us – the legend who has given us a treasure trove of lilting songs, the Nightingale of India, Lataji, has left us to continue her divine music in heaven. It is a personal loss for me as our affection & admiration for each other was mutual.’

As indicated by Governmental sources, two-day national mourning to be observed in memory of Lata Mangeshkar. The National flag to fly at half-mast for two days, as a mark of respect.
