“Large part of an actor’s life is all about waiting”, says Gehraiyaan actor Dhairya Karwa
Just like any other newbie Dhairya Karwa also is confronting his share of struggles to make a space for himself in Bollywood. The actor, however, considers himself fortunate because in a short span of time he got to be a part of big films like Uri: The Surgical Strike, 83, and currently Gehraiyaan in which he was paired inverse Deepika Padukone.
The actor says that though he is happy with the pace at which his career is moving ahead, he feels that one must have a great deal of patience in a field like showbiz. He shares, “A large chunk of an actor’s life is all about waiting (for right projects to come your way). I hope I live up to all the patience.”
He further adds, “Having said that, I must agree that I am fortunate that in a short span of time I won some really good projects. It feels good that so earlier on in your career you get unanimously loved by the audience. All the films that I did were so different from each other. I feel I am just living the dream. I am happy where I am today. I am on this path which keeps building on the momentum. I grow with every part. It has been a learning experience.”
Unlike his previous films, his most recent film also featuring Ananya Panday and Siddhant Chaturvedi released digitally. “We survived on OTT for the last two years through the pandemic,” he says. Adding, “OTT has already been on the rise. It is good to have another platform where artistes can express themselves by being a part of good stories and working with good story tellers. In times like the current ones if entertainment can be provided through a medium like this in the comfort zones of the audience like their homes, then what’s the problem in that?”
