“Sridevi ji was a complete actor in every way; a true legend”, says Aftab Shivdasani

Sridevi’s tragic death left many of her fans heartbroken. Four years ago, on this day, the very well-known actress had left for her heavenly abode. On her death anniversary, ETimes got in touch with Aftab Shivdasani, who has had the honour of working with her in not one but two famous movies.

Reminiscing about working with Sridevi, Aftab said, “Sridevi ji was a complete actor in every way – the way she immersed herself in her characters and her classy demeanor off sets. She was like the ultimate professional who was respectful, polite and kind. She was truly a legend. I feel very grateful that I got to work with her in some of her most iconic films like ‘Mr India’ and ‘Chaalbaaz’.”

While ‘Mr India’ also featured Anil Kapoor in the lead role, ‘Chaalbaaz’ featured Rajinikanth and Sunny Deol in lead roles.

Sridevi, alongside her better half Boney Kapoor and daughters Janhvi and Khushi Kapoor had gone to Dubai to go to the wedding ceremony of Mohit Marwah in 2018 where she breathed her last. The actress reportedly died because of accidental drowning in the bathtub of her hotel room.
