Adani Penna Cement drives community Projects in Patas
In the villages around Patas, small but targeted interventions by Adani Penna Cement are beginning to deliver visible changes in daily life, highlighting the impact of grassroots development.
Since August 2024, the company has partnered with the local Gram Panchayat to roll out initiatives spanning infrastructure, education and environmental sustainability.
A key milestone was the construction of a community hall in Kangaon village at a cost of Rs. 17 lakh. The facility has become a hub for community interaction, hosting events, meetings and discussions that strengthen the village’s social fabric.
On the environmental front, riverbank and ghat development work along the Bhima river is currently underway, with an investment of Rs. 60 lakh. The initiative is expected to improve access and promote safer use of the river.
Schools in the region have also seen upgrades. Yede Basti School now has a boundary wall and educational wall art, while Betwadi School has received over 40 benches and desks, enhancing student comfort and dignity in classrooms.
At Navingar school, infrastructure improvements such as a new school gate have been completed, with further plans for drinking water facilities, security cameras and overall upgrades.
The company’s approach emphasises collaboration with the Gram Panchayat to ensure that interventions reflect local priorities and deliver measurable outcomes for the community.
