Akshay Kumar reveals Bachchhan Paandey’s title is inspired by Abhishek Bachchan and Chunky Pandey

Akshay Kumar has uncovered the real inspiration behind the interesting title of his forthcoming movie Bachchhan Paandey. The actor portrays the dreaded gangster with an eye of stone in the movie. It features Kriti Sanon as an aspiring filmmaker who wants to make a biopic on him and Jacqueline Fernandez as his girlfriend. They kickstarted the promotions on Wednesday and addressed the media at a press event.

During the event,  Akshay was asked about the title Bachchhan Paandey which reminds moviegoers of the Bachchans and the Pandey family of Bollywood. He said, “At the success party of Housefull 4, I just saw a picture of Abhishek Bachchan and Chunky Pandey, and that’s how we got the title Bachchhan Paandey.”

Akshay, who has also played negative roles in movies like Khiladi 420 and Ajnabee, said he loved portraying the role of a villain in Bachchhan Paandey. “I have realised that the villain has a good role and there is a lot of substance to his character as opposed to the hero, who only wins in the last 10 minutes of the film. It was fun to play the role,” he said at the event.
