American Music Awards 2021: BTS bags three awards, watch them perform “Butter” on stage

It surely was a huge night for the famous South Korean band, BTS. They went on to bag three awards at American Music Awards 2021. The event was aired in India on Monday morning whereas, in the USA, it was aired on Sunday night. It took place at Microsoft Theatre in Los Angeles.
The band went on to win the awards for the favourite pop group (for the third time), for pop song (Butter), and coveted artist of the year for the first time. Earlier, there were various controversies when the band did not win Billboard awards or even MTV Awards. The fans are overwhelmed and have taken over Twitter with congratulatory messages.
Taking to Twitter, the official account of BTS shared the news and wrote, “We won Artist of the Year, Favorite Pop Song, and Favorite Pop Duo or Group at the @AMAs tonight! We want to thank everyone who supported our music and especially #BTSARMY! For their performance, the band danced to their recent release, Butter. The song became sensational overnight and has been on the top of the charts for weeks. Along with this, they also performed “My Universe” which was in collaboration with the band, Coldplay. Watch their performance here:
