Man United drop points again; held to a draw by Newcastle

Manchester United were playing against Newcastle United in the first game of Sunday’s matchday in the Premier League. It wasn’t the game Man United fans expected as they lost two points. United were playing at Old Trafford after so many days as the last Premier League game they played in their home was against Arsenal a month ago.

Manchester United were poor against Newcastle on Sunday. Newcastle whereas being the visitors were playing good in the first 45 minutes. Newcastle created more chances than the host Man United.

Erik ten Hag wasn’t happy with the performance as he said it was again a disappointing result for them in the post-match interaction. No goals were scored from either side in the whole 90 minutes where there could have been one in the end when Marcus Rashford had one of the best chances.

Casemiro gave a sweet cross inside box where Marcus Rashford only had to direct the ball into the net but he headed it wide and the final whistle was blown away by match referee named Craig Pawson. With this disappointing draw against Newcastle United, Manchester United are now 11 points behind the league leaders Arsenal FC who are currently sitting on top with 27 points.
