The actor reacts, “This film is a brutally honest based on a true event. It is not against any caste, party or community. We always talk about humanity and justice. Our film shows what happens when there is no humanity. I will request those people to first watch the film and then decide. I have been getting messages from friends of different religions, they cry and talk about my performance. They said we brought the truth out.”

“Mentally, emotionally, physically. With all due respect to other professions, I believe acting is the most difficult job in the world, it requires strength and hard work. The casting director called me, and said Pallavi Joshi ji and Vivek Agnihotri ji wanted to meet me. They showed me the heart-wrenching stories of 700 families, I couldn’t speak a word after those videos. Then they gave me the script and said ‘we want to cast you as the lead’,” he ends.

Helmed by Anees Bazmee, Bhool Bhulaiyaa2 will release in theatres on May 20 this year

Talking about how Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 is different from the original, Anees Bazmee had told Pinkvilla in an interview, “Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 is special because it’s my first horror-comedy, so this time, I am also trying to scare people. I have treated the subject in a new way. The original was a psychological thriller with comedy, this one is a proper horror-comedy. The challenge is to remind people of the first part, yet provide a unique experience.”

Abhishek is naturally touched, and told hindustantimes.com  that his dad may be a superstar for the world, however, he’s a normal dad after all.“He is just like any other father of course. We tend to forget that my parents at the end of the day are also parents. I feel bad for them sometimes. They say they felt… I know my father has, he told me that he wants to reserve his comments about what he feels at times because he doesn’t want people to misunderstand and say ‘you are just being biased. Initially, it was like what will people say, what will people think. I remember that I was shooting for Refugee, my first film, and it was my first shot. Aur dher saare log aa gaye the dekhne ke liye kyunki sunne mein aaya tha ki Bachchan ka beta jo hai wo shooting kar raha hai (Many people had come to the sets to see me film after hearing that (Amitabh) Bachchan’s son is shooting). People from nearby villages came filled in tractors. The whole star cast, Anupam (Kher) uncle was in the picture, and he was also one of my acting teachers and I knew him from my childhood so he also came. Kareena (Kapoor), Kulbhushan (Kharbanda) ji, Padmini Kapila ji were in the scene. Reena Roy and all the other actors in the star cast came thinking ‘arey bacche ka pehla shot hai, dekhte hain kya karta hai (It’s his first shot, let’s see how he does)’.”

He further said, “Aur mai ekdam baukhla gaya tha (And I became completely flustered). I messed up my scene several times. I just panicked. I started thinking ki ye log abhi hotel jaayenge, PCO mein ghuske phone karenge, dad ko bolenge ‘Ek dum bakwas hai, isko picture se nikal do aur isko kahi aur laga do kaam pe (I thought these people will go to hotel and call up my father and tell him that I am very bad and kick me out of the film).’ Then I started thinking ‘Oh they’ve all come to see Mr Bachchan’s son and I am going to be such an epic failure, disappointment.”

Talking with Pinkvilla, Randhir said, “Ranbir is going to get married but not today. It’s around the 15th. I am very happy (for him). About the reception of the couple, Randhir added, “That we are discussing. I am on my way back (to Mumbai). I was in Goa. Now I am heading back, so we will discuss that today and decide.”

So, it’s a win-win situation for everyone.”

Talking about playing the fierce and feisty Ramika Sen in KGF: Chapter 2 and working with Yash, she says, “It was great working with Yash. KGF is an iconic franchise, and I am excited that to be a part of this film. I had a great time working with director Prashanth Neel, and there’s a lot to learn from the filmmaker. More importantly, KGF, for me, was all about unlearning and shifting my perspective in more ways than one.”

Abhishek told Mashable India, “I didn’t know how to ride a bike. I’d ridden a bike in a film right before that but they put me on a trolley and take it. My mother and my father never allowed me to ride because they were scared. During the shooting, John taught me how to ride. John used to ride with me and teach me. He was unbelievable. He used to live in Bandra, he would ride all the way back to Juhu with me. He said ‘baba, just remember. You have to be very responsible.’ He is Parsi so he knew how to disassemble the bike and said ‘this (chassis) is what you are riding on.’ He was so safe and he taught me everything and I was so confident after that.”

He recalled, “The first night at the hotel his valet came to us and offered us chocolates. And we felt ki yaar, ‘kya banda hai yaar John, so sweet.’ He was like ‘you did a good job today.’ The next day also he was like ‘baba great job, baba fantastic,’ and same chocolates. I’m like ‘dude he is slowly becoming my favourite person.’ By the end of the schedule, I had put on 7 kg. I said now I realised what he was doing. He gave us chocolates and himself was in the gym.”
