Bachchhan Paandey director reveals film had deleted scene with Abhishek Bachchan and Chunky Pandey

Akshay Kumar’s forthcoming movie Bachchhan Paandey is an action-adventure and not at all like what the name suggests, it includes no Bachchan or any Pandey. In any case, during a recent interaction, director Farhad Samji uncovered that it originally did. . A deleted scene in the movie featured actors Abhishek Bachchan and Chunky Pandey. The movie also features Kriti Sanon, Arshad Warsi, and Jacqueline Fernandez.

Talking to Bollywood Hungama, Akshay Kumar said, “It was just a joke. The actual inspiration for the title was the name of my character from Tashan. In that film, my character was called Bachchan Pandey.” In any case, adding to that, the movie’s director Farhad Samji uncovered that they had intended to incorporate pseudo cameos from Abhishek and Chunky in the movie.

Farhad said, “A deleted scene had these two, but only in the form of their pictures. Kriti and Arshad’s characters were looking for Bachchhan Paandey and they ask a young kid if they had seen him. The kid said yes and pulled out a film magazine with pictures of Abhishek Bachchan and Chunky Pandey. But we didn’t put this scene in the film finally.”

Speaking about the movie,  Akshay had earlier said, “It’s always a pleasure to collaborate with Sajid Nadiadwala (producer). He and I go back years, we were friends long before we became actor-producer. And one can only imagine what fun it is to work with friends. Bachchhan Paandey is my tenth film with him and audiences can expect ten times the entertainment with this one.”
