Complaint filed against Deepika Padukone, Kabir Khan and makers of ‘83′ for alleged cheating
Ranveer Singh starrer ’83 is facing legal trouble and his wife Deepika Padukone has likewise been dragged into this controversial case since she is one of the makers of this film. A case of alleged cheating has been registered against the makers of this movie. As per Indiatoday.in, a UAE-based financer moved toward the Andheri Metropolitan Magistrate Court in Mumbai and has registered a complaint against the makers of ’83, claiming that his company was promised great returns by Vibri Media after they invested around Rs 16 crores.
Be that as it may, their funds were directed into various agreements involving filmmakers like Kabir Khan, Sajid Nadiadwala, and Deepika Padukone among others, and the money was used for the production of ’83, without getting any written consent from the complainant. The report quoted advocate Rizwan Siddiquee who expressed that his client, FZE has filed a criminal complaint against every one of the makers of ’83 because of cheating and criminal conspiracy.
’83 is directed by Kabir Khan and portrays the story of Indian team’s victory at the 1983 World Cup. With Ranveer stepping into the shoes of Kapil Dev for this real-life drama, Deepika will be seen portraying his onscreen spouse, Romi Bhatia. ’83 will be released on December 24.
