Godrej Enterprises Group Sees 20% Growth Outlook for Home Lockers During Wedding Season

The Security Solutions business of Godrej Enterprises Group has projected strong growth in its home locker segment during the ongoing wedding season, with sales expected to rise by around 20%, driven by increasing consumer preference for secure, long-term storage and gifting solutions.

The company said India’s peak marriage season has become an important demand driver for home security products, as households make higher investments in gold, jewellery, cash and important documents. With gold prices witnessing sharp increases, families are becoming more conscious of the risks associated with storing high-value assets at home, leading to a greater focus on secure storage solutions.

Weddings, according to the company, represent a significant phase of household asset creation. As a result, many families are now incorporating in-home security planning into their wedding preparations, viewing home lockers as a necessary safeguard rather than an optional purchase.

To address this demand, the Security Solutions business offers a wide portfolio of home lockers that provide stronger protection than conventional cupboards. These lockers are designed to safeguard valuables against theft, fire and unauthorised access, while also blending with modern home interiors. The product range caters to diverse household needs, from compact urban apartments to larger family homes, and also addresses risks arising from insider access during large social gatherings.

Commenting on the trend, Pushkar Gokhale, Business Head, Security Solutions, Godrej Enterprises Group, said the wedding season has become a strategically important period for the business, as secure storage is increasingly influencing purchase decisions alongside jewellery and other valuables.

Beyond metropolitan markets, the company is witnessing rising traction in Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities, which account for nearly 30% of its overall home locker business. This growth is being driven by rising disposable incomes and higher gold ownership. With a pan-India network of nearly 5,000 channel partners, the company is expanding availability and consumer outreach to meet demand.

As weddings increasingly reflect long-term financial planning and security awareness, the Security Solutions business is positioning home lockers as a symbol of trust, stability and asset protection for newlyweds and their families.
