Investor Awareness Drive by CDSL Investor Protection Fund & BSE Investor Protection Fund Draws 850 Participants

Under SEBI’s guidance, CDSL IPF and BSE IPF conducted a Mega Regional Investor Awareness Seminar aimed at strengthening financial literacy and cyber vigilance among citizens.

The seminar saw participation from police forces, CRPF, SRPF, municipal officials and MGM University faculty and students. The “Shikshit Se Saksham” theme focused on empowering investor with knowledge of securities markets, safe investing practices and cyber fraud prevention.

Speakers highlighted the growing risks of digital fraud and the need for structured financial planning. A cyber fraud session by Shri Ratnakar Navale, DCP (Crime), detailed emerging threats and preventive safeguards.

Dr. Vinaykumar Rathod emphasised the importance of financial literacy for law enforcement personnel, noting its role in both personal financial well-being and fraud investigation capabilities.

Shri Sunil Kadam reiterated SEBI’s commitment to financial literacy through structured initiatives and national outreach programs.

Through initiatives such as the National Financial Literacy Quiz 2026 for undergraduates and postgraduate college students, conducted jointly with NISM, we are strengthening the foundations of informed investing. Our collaboration with the Ministry of Panchayati Raj further enables us to reach rural and semi-urban communities, ensuring that financial literacy becomes accessible, inclusive, and impactful at the grassroot level”

The seminar forms part of CDSL IPF’s and BSE IPF’s sustained national investor education initiatives.
