Karan Johar shares a heart touching video montage remembering his late father Yash Johar

Yash Johar was the founder of Dharma Productions. He laid the foundation of this production house in 1976. 6th September marked the death anniversary of Yash Johar who has given out massive hits like Dostana, Agneepath, Gumrah and Duplicate. He however breathed his last at the age of 74 due to a chest infection while battling cancer.

Karan Johar had to continue the legacy left behind by his father. He took over the work of the production house that was initially led by his father and made the film industry reach the pinnacle of success through his production house.

Karan Johar took to his Instagram to share a video on his father’s death anniversary. He captioned the post as “It’s been many years but it still feels like yesterday when papa was next to me, guiding me with every decision I made. Today along with Dharma, @TheYJF_ (Yash Johar Foundation) is also now a reality and continues to form itself into an establishment that is making a difference in the society we live in and I can’t help but feel that he’s still here…in many forms. It’s his indelible nature & kindness that inspired many and especially me. I hope and pray to carry on these values as his legacy & pass it onto my children too. Miss you, your energy, your love & your affection every day.”

Neha Dhupia, Tiger Shroff, and many Bollywood celebrities reacted to Karan’s post with heart emojis. Tiger even congratulated Karan for the success of his foundation. He wrote, “Congrats sir,” with heart emojis.
