Fashion’s biggest night out is here! The Met Gala 2021 is a fundraising benefit for the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City.  It’s the glorious night of glitz and glam in the world of fashion. The event invites Hollywood’s A-listers and young creatives to showcase their true sense of fashion. The gala, formally known as the Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Institute benefit, is a glamorous, black-tie event that formally launches the Metropolitan Museum’s annual fashion exhibition in New York City. Each year, the theme of the gala is tied to the exhibition. 2021’s Met Theme was: ” In America: An Anthology Of Fashion”.

Let’s take a brief look over the Gala’s couples that had the wildest fashion moments.

1. Brooklyn Beckham and Nicola Peltz

The Son of David Beckham chose a traditional Valentino tuxedo, and his fiancée, Nicola opted for a semi-sheer pink dress that was sleeveless and encrusted with delicate crystals. She also added baby-pink gloves and dangling diamond earrings to complete her look.

2. Chance the Rapper and Kirsten Corley

Corley looked all the way more glamorous in a long-sleeved gown with a mermaid-style skirt, while her husband posed in a Ralph Lauren suit.

3. Kit Harington and Rose Leslie

Harington walked the red carpet in a white tuxedo and black bow, designed by Saint Laurent. He was then joined by his wife and his fellow actor, who wore a neon-yellow Oscar de la Renta dress with a strapless neckline and tulle skirt.

Met welcomed the Michael Kors couple with Mendes wearing leather pants, two belts, and an open jacket with no shirt underneath. Cabello went with a more colourful option: a sparkling purple crop top with a matching wrap skirt.

Here comes the two contrasting outfits of the events. ASAP Rocky’s look consisted of a colourful, quilt-like blanket worn over a black suit. Rihanna’s was seen in a completely black ensemble that looked like a mermaid coat dress. An oversized ruffle extended over her bodice.

Osaka paid tribute to her biracial heritage. It was a strapless and colourful Louis Vuitton dress that was inspired by Haitian and Japanese culture. On the other hand, Cordae kept it simple and chose a tan Coach trench coat, black dress pants, and square-shaped sunglasses

The tennis player opted for a pink feathered cape over a bodysuit made from grey lace. Created and designed by Gucci. It was inspired by superheroes, as she told E. While Ohanian went for more and of a traditional look in a plain black tux with a white, shiny bow tie.
