Meta unveils Muse Image for innovative visual creation
Meta has launched Muse Image, an image generation model from Meta Superintelligence Labs, now available through Meta AI. Following the integration of Muse Spark, which enhanced the capabilities of Meta AI, Muse Image is designed to help users effortlessly transform ideas into high-quality visuals. These images can be downloaded and shared across platforms, including feeds, stories, and chats.
The new model enables creative tools across various Meta apps. Users can explore over 30 AI-powered effects for Instagram Stories and generate images in WhatsApp direct chats. Initially, these features are available in select countries, with plans for expansion.
Simple prompts, high-quality outputs
With Muse Image, users can start with a blank canvas or an existing photo and describe their desired outcome in simple language. Whether it’s creating an image in front of a historical site, removing a photobomber from a picture, or designing a functional QR code, Muse Image processes these requests seamlessly. The technology also ensures that rendered text within visuals is clear and styled appropriately, supporting the creation of infographics or how-to guides.
Suggested presets and creative assistance
To assist with inspiration, Meta AI includes a presets panel offering suggested prompts. Users can restore old photos, experiment with trending hairstyles, or transform into a claymation character or 16-bit game hero. Sharing these creations with friends via Meta’s apps is straightforward, allowing others to apply the same presets.
The tool also features a room redesign function. Users can take a photo of their space and request a redesign using real products from online sources or Facebook Marketplace. Muse Image can suggest trending styles for a complete room makeover.

Muse Image collaborates with Muse Spark to thoughtfully interpret prompts. It plans layouts, retrieves real-time web context, and combines multiple visual references. This means users can place pets in famous paintings or merge selfies with vacation photos for custom postcards, with Meta AI ensuring the final product meets expectations.
Integration with Instagram and editing capabilities
