Nina Dobrev signs up for a comedy film opposite Chace Crawford, Jamie Chung and Michael Hitchcock; Reveals through Instagram post

Nina Dobrev is known for a double role in The Vampire Diaries playing Elena Gilbert and Katherine Pierce. The diva will now star opposite Jamie Chung, Michael Hitchcock, Billy Magnussen, Lil Rel Howery, and comedienne Jillian Bell too. The cast also consists of Chace Crawford, The Boys actor. It’s an upcoming comedy flick Reunion.

Nina announced this news via Instagram, she captioned the post as ” this is going to be one of a #Reunion”, tagging the star cast of her upcoming film.

As per Variety-The story puts a whodunit spin on the genre of awkward, post-graduation gatherings with former classmates — it unfolds during a snowstorm that leaves guests trapped in an isolated mansion. Production begins this week in Los Angles.

The Perfect Date Director, Chris Nelson will be directing. The screenplay will be managed by Jake Emanuel and Willie Block. Producing are Artists Road’s principals, Todd Garner, Ben Silverman, Peter Principato and Mark Korshak as well as Mickey Schiff and Lil Rel Howery. Executive producing are Unique Features’ Bob Shaye alongside Magnussen and Bell.

Back to Dobrev’s Vampire Diaries the actress addressed season 2 ‘s doppelgänger twist earlier this month. She said, “They weren’t sure so they definitely weren’t gonna tell me. But I feel like right before that episode [season one’s ‘Lost Girls’], [Catherine] was introduced so they gave me a heads up. But it was gradual. The first episode was just a couple flashbacks and then they introduced her more and more.” Further continuing, “ “So I got to figure her out over the first season, and then season two, once she was back and in the flesh and she was in a lot more of the episodes, it was crazy schedule-wise shooting both of the roles, with Elena and Katherine.”
