Nitesh Tiwari Is Caught by Varun Dhawan Enjoying This Desi Sweet; Can You Guess What It Is?

There are few things that may bring us as much joy as the jalebi. That is probably why the simple sweet dish has stayed timeless and is enjoyed by people of all ages. It’s so appealing that it’s been utilised in countless successful advertising campaigns as a prop. Even celebs and movie stars can’t resist the allure of this spiralled but juicy Indian delicacy. Varun Dhawan even posted a video on his Instagram Stories showing famous director Nitesh Tiwari enjoying jalebis while filming their upcoming film, “Bawaal.”

The footage shows Tiwari in the midst of a crowd, with Varun approaching from behind. Varun then notices his director eating out of a paper bowl. “Sir, you are eating jalebi in this heat and with so many people around?” he says, surprised.

Tiwari adds, “Jalebi ke liye main kuch bhi kar sakta hun (I can do anything for jalebi).” With a chuckle, he says, “In reality, I shoot here because of jalebi.”

Even the mere mention of the word “jalebi” makes our mouths moisten and our sweet hunger resurface. It quickly transports us to the local candy store. Jalebi has become fairly popular during weddings and other occasions as well. Try making it at home if you’re missing the sweetest of all Indian desserts. The recipe is straightforward and takes no more than 15-20 minutes to prepare. But don’t get your hopes up too high; matching the halwaii in your neighbourhood will take some time.

After breakfast or dinner, jalebis can be enjoyed as a dessert. You can even eat it on its own, as Nitesh Tiwari did, without having to worry about the temperature.

Varun and Tiwari are now filming Bawaal, which is described as a timeless love story. Tiwari made his directorial debut in 2011 with Chillar Party, which won him a National Film Award. He is well known for directing the box office smash Dangal in 2016.
