Rithvik Dhanjani: “I am happy doing what I do everyday, but the actor in me wants to branch out further”

Rithvik Dhanjani, who made his acting debut on television has completed over a decade in the industry. He began with Bandini (2010) and later did shows like Pyaar Kii Ye Ek Kahaani and Pavitra Rishta. In any case, overall, the number of fiction shows that he has done far less compared to the number of reality shows that he has hosted. Discussing this, Rithvik says, “There is no particular reason for not taking up fiction shows on TV. Whatever was being offered didn’t resonate with me. The stories weren’t really progressive and there was nothing that was adding value to who I am as a human being. Today if I do any project, it should add value to me, so that tomorrow when I look back, I can say that this is what I have done at some point in my career.”

However, the actor in him is itching to do a lot more and he is happy with the offers that he has been getting on web shows. He says,

He says,  “It’s a great platform and has given a lot of opportunities to actors, technicians, directors and many others. It’s a blessing because it allows us to be more creative.”

Movies are also on his mind. He says, “I do miss acting on a regular basis and want to act more now. I am happy doing what I do everyday, but the actor in me wants to branch out further.”
