The 10th matchday will be starting with a goal rush as 8 teams will be in action together at the same time. There will be four games played at the same time on Saturday, 8th October. Defending champions Manchester City will face Ralph Hasenhuttl’s Southampton FC in Etihad Stadium at 7:30 PM (IST). Newcastle against Brentford, and Bournemouth against Leicester will be at the same time. Graham Potter will be looking for his second win in the Premier League as Chelsea will be facing Wolves in Stamford Bridge on Saturday.

The gameweek 10 will be ended with two blockbuster games i.e. Arsenal vs Liverpool, and Everton vs Manchester United.

No one would have predicted the game would be a 6 game thriller as it ended 0-0 in the first 45 minutes. The game was totally changed in the second half as the opening goal was scored by Gundogan from the penalty spot in the 52nd minute. After that Jai Havertz gave a 2-0 lead to Germany which wasn’t enough for them as England fought back and scored two in quick succession.

English left-back Luke Shaw scored the first goal for England and the second one was scored by Chelsea’s midfielder Mason Mount. England lead the game by 3-2 in the 83rd minute when Harry Kane scored a goal from the spot.

However Kai Havertz scored the equaliser in the 87th minute to earn a point in the game. It was a total entertainment in Wembley on Monday night.

English Premier League has decided to postpone games ahead of the Queen’s funeral and due to lack of Police officers in the stadium. Many police officers have been told to be present at Queen’s funeral. There are also not many security cameras in the stadium and thus they have to make this decision ahead of this two big games.

This was Sunday’s big game clash (Chelsea vs Liverpool) which happens every week, where top teams play against each other. The fans will not be able to witness one of the blockbuster games this weekend as it has been officially postponed. This was going to be Graham Potter’s first game as Chelsea manager in the Premier League after he was announced last week by the club.

However, these two teams will be seen playing in the UEFA Champions League in the mid-week.

Thomas Tuchel rates Reece James very high and thus starts him in almost every game. The right-back has shown some good performance over the years in blue jersey. He is considered as one of the best offensive and defensive both full-backs in the English Premier League currently. The English footballer Reece James has many goals to his name while playing for the club (Chelsea FC). The new contract of Reece James is of five-years that means he will stay at the club for the another five years.

Reece James signed until 2027. Chelsea didn’t get the start they might have expected at the start of the season but still they have got some signings in this summer transfer window and they are ready to come on as per their manager Thomas Tuchel.

Chelsea really had a poor start to the new season as they lost to Southampton and Leeds United and drew with Antonio Conte’s Tottenham Hotspur. This win was their third of the season. The game was played at Chelsea’s home stadium named Stamford Bridge. The fans saw a mighty turnaround in the game as West Ham was winning this but Chelsea took the three points after the final whistle.

West Ham United scored the opening goal of the game in the 62nd minute. On 76th minute, Chelsea’s left-back Ben Chilwell score the equaliser. 12 minutes later, Chelsea’s forward Kai Havertz scored the goal and make the ‘blues’ lead in the game.

West Ham United did equalise in the last minute, but the goal was later overruled by VAR and the scoreline remained 2-1 to Chelsea.

The transfer window deadline day was on Thursday, 1st September. Chelsea signed Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang from FC Barcelona which was made official on the deadline day. A new midfielder that joined the blues was Denis Zakaria who also joined on the same day. The deal was officially announced by the club on Friday, 2nd September after the transfer window was closed.

Midfielder Denis Zakaria was signed by Juventus in the last transfer window but they decided to loan him out to Chelsea. Chelsea who didn’t had a great start to the season have signed two priority players in order to improve their squad. Thomas Tuchel’s (Chelsea FC manager) side will be up against West Ham on Saturday, 3rd September. Juventus will recieve €3 million loan fee plus €1 million in add ons.

1. Aubameyang to Chelsea FC: Former Arsenal Striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang joined the rival team Chelsea FC on the deadline day. He joined the side from FC Barcelona. It is a two-year deal with an option to extend.

2. Marcos Alonso to Barcelona: Former Chelsea left-back Marcos Alonso has joined Barcelona as their striker came here (Aubameyang). Alonso was one of Barcelona’s priority signing for the left-back position.

3. Arthur Melo to Liverpool FC: Arthur Melo has joined the ‘Reds’ for this season. The deal is not permanent. Arthur will play for Liverpool on a season long-loan. Arthur Melo will be back in Juventus FC after the 2022/23 season.

4. Denis Zakaria to Chelsea FC: Juventus midfielder has joined Chelsea FC on loan with an option to buy after this season. The deal was unexpected and it happened at the last minute of the transfer window.

5. Antony to Manchester United: Antony’s deal happened a few days ago but was made official on the deadline day. Antony joined the ‘Red Devils’ on a permanent deal from Ajax until 2027.

6. Manuel Akanji to Manchester City: Akanji joined the Champion side from Borussia Dortmund on the deadline day. The fee for the defender was around £16.7 million.

Chelsea FC are considering a move for Ajax’s central-defensive midfielder named Edson Alvarez on the deadline day. Few hours remaining for the window to end and thus Chelsea are really pushing hard to bring the Mexican footballer to their squad.

According to reports, the midfielder Edson Alvarez also needs this move and thus pushing hard from his side as he wants to join the Champions League club. Edson Alvarez reportedly has skipped the training on Thursday in an attempt to push through his transfer to Chelsea. As per reports, a €40 million bid is on the table from Chelsea and the Mexican International is set to earn 4 times what he is currently earning at Ajax. Edson is reportedly tempted by the offer made by Chelsea to him.

Ironically, Kepa was sent on at the end of extra-time to replace Edouard Mendy given his reputation as a penalty-saving expert, however, the Spaniard couldn’t save any of Liverpool’s kicks.

While there were no goals in 120 minutes, this was a fascinating final which created many chances for both sides to win it before the cruel denouement.

European champions Chelsea face either United Arab Emirates Pro League side Al Jazira or AFC Champions League victors Al Hilal in their semi-last at Abu Dhabi’s Mohammad Bin Zayed Stadium on Wednesday.

If Chelsea qualify for the final, they will stay in Abu Dhabi until Feb. 12. Chelsea reached at the final the last time they played in the Club World Cup in 2012, losing 1-0 to Brazilian side Corinthians in Japan.

However, considering Chelsea’s recent run of results, Jorginho has decided to push through his injury to play for his club’s Premier League on Saturday. Talking about the player’s decision Tuchel in the press conference before the match, said, “Jorginho completed the last two training sessions. I think he will do again what he did in the last few games he has played – play through the pain and do what needs to be done on the pitch,” reported AFP.

This decision comes after Chelsea’s draw against Zenit, in which they decided to push Reece James to midfield, while Spaniard Saul Niguez started as left-wing. The move backfired big time as Chelsea was left rueing when Zenit equalized in the dying minutes to end the game at 3-3.
