Wasim Jaffer feels 2018 Asia Cup finals which was played between India and Bangladesh was the most memorable final game in the history of the tournament. On Sunday, 11th September, Sri Lanka is playing against Pakistan cricket team in the Asia Cup 2022 finals. Both the teams deserved to be in the finals as both of them played their heart out in his current tournament.

However, the former Indian cricketer thinks India against Bangladesh in the finals of 2018 will remain his favourite game and memorable one of the Asia Cup.

“India vs Bangladesh final in the 2018 Asia Cup is the most memorable match for me in the Asia Cup history,” said Wasim Jaffer via Batbricks7 presents Run ki Runneeti show.

India won this final game of Asia Cup 2018 against Bangladesh by 3 wickets. Rohit Sharma was the top scorer in this game who scored 48 runs during their chase of 223 runs.

There’s also a chance where India and Pakistan can play against each other in the Asia Cup 2022 again i.e. for the third time. The finals of the Asia Cup is on Sunday, 11th September and the teams namely India and Pakistan could face each other in that. Pakistan won the first game in the super 4 which was against India by 5 wickets.

GT captain Hardik Pandya won the toss and chose to bowl against Ravindra Jadeja-led CSK.

Opener Ruturaj Gaikwad roared back to form with excellent innings of 73 runs off 48 deliveries. Middle-order batter Ambati Rayudu accompanied Gaikwad well and helped CSK race past the 150-run mark.

Hardik Pandya bowled deliveries around the 125-130 kmph range. He might have gone wicketless against Lucknow, but it was a pleasing sign for the Indian selectors to see him bowl the entire quota of four overs.

However, Wasim Jaffer believes otherwise and voicing his opinion; the veteran said to ESPNcrickinfo, “He might not have scored a hundred in more than two years, but he has never looked out of form. He has managed a 50+ score every now and then, but a century is not far away.”

It’s true that Kohli has never looked out of touch in recent times. And a century is not a fundamental parameter to judge someone who has 71 international hundred against his name. He has played some extraordinary innings reaching as far as eighty runs in an inning, and If he continues to play like this, he will soon have his 72^nd international century as well.
