Tata Group Honours ICC Women’s World Cup Winners With Sierra

Tata Motors formally felicitated the ICC Women’s World Cup 2025–winning Indian team at a ceremony held at Bombay House on December 16, 2025. The company announced that each member of the championship-winning squad will receive a Tata Sierra as a token of appreciation.

The event saw participation from senior Tata Group leadership, including N. Chandrasekaran, Chairman of Tata Sons and Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles Ltd., and Shailesh Chandra, Managing Director and CEO, Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles Ltd.

Mr. N. Chandrasekaran, speaking at the ceremony, said, “Just as July 1983 became a defining moment for a generation, November 2, 2025 will be remembered as the day the Indian women’s team claimed their World Cup. They played with passion, resilience and collective excellence, inspiring a new generation to dream big and persist. We are delighted that Tata Motors will recognise our champion cricketers and their support staff with a Tata Sierra, and we wish them the very best for their next challenge.”

As part of the initiative, Tata Motors stated that players will be allowed to choose the Sierra variant aligned with their preferences, reflecting a personalised approach to recognition.
