Tata Power arm TPREL crosses 10 GW EPC mark; Q3FY26 additions jump 139% YoY
Tata Power Renewable Energy Limited (TPREL) has crossed a significant milestone by commissioning 10 GW of renewable EPC projects till date, driven by strong execution momentum during FY26.
The company commissioned 1.88 GW of renewable energy capacity in the first nine months of FY26, a 33% increase over the 1.4 GW added during the same period last year. Of this, 941 MW was commissioned in Q3FY26 alone, representing a 139% year-on-year growth compared to Q3FY25.
TPREL’s cumulative EPC portfolio includes 9.7 GW of solar and 290 MW of wind projects, spanning 4.2 GW of in-house developments and 5.8 GW for third-party clients.
During April–December FY26, the company executed 1,329 MW of third-party solar projects and 546 MW of in-house renewable projects, including 187 MW of wind capacity. These projects were completed across multiple geographies despite complex site conditions.
Notable Q3FY26 commissions included DCR-compliant solar projects in Bikaner, Rajasthan for NHPC, NLC and SJVNL, and a 187 MW wind project in Tamil Nadu’s Karur district.
TPREL’s utility-scale operational capacity now stands at 6 GW, and the company plans to add 0.75 GW of owned capacity during FY26, reinforcing Tata Power’s clean energy expansion strategy.
