Tata Power EV Charging Solutions Limited Partners with Gorakhpur Nagar Nigam to Expand EV Charging Network

In a move to strengthen Uttar Pradesh’s EV ecosystem, Tata Power EV Charging Solutions Limited has signed an MoU with Gorakhpur Nagar Nigam to deploy ultra-fast EV charging infrastructure in Gorakhpur.

The partnership will see ultra-fast charging setups installed at strategically identified locations across the city. The installations are designed to enhance accessibility to public charging facilities and support the increasing adoption of electric vehicles.

By placing fast chargers at transit hubs and high-footfall zones, the initiative aims to offer reliable and convenient charging solutions, addressing range anxiety and enabling a faster transition to green mobility.

Under its EZ Charge brand, Tata Power has established over 2 lakh home chargers, 5,500+ public and semi-public charging points, and 1,200+ e-bus charging stations across more than 630 cities and towns. With over 5 lakh registered customers, the network spans highways, commercial spaces, residential complexes and transport depots.

The Tata Power Company Limited currently operates a 16.3 GW diversified portfolio, including 7.5 GW of clean energy, representing 46% of its capacity, and aims to achieve Net Zero emissions by 2045.
