The Standard Establishes Global Capability Center in India; Appoints Mohua Sengupta as Country Head

The Standard has expanded its global footprint with the formation of StanCorp Global Services India Private Limited, marking the launch of its Global Capability Center in India. The new entity will support the company’s technology transformation efforts, drive innovation and strengthen long-term business expansion.

Industry veteran Mohua Sengupta has been named senior vice president and country head for India. With nearly three decades of experience across financial services and technology, she previously led the Novartis India GCC and held key leadership roles at several global firms.

Welcoming her to the organisation, Greg Chandler, executive vice president of Information Technology at The Standard, said, “I’m excited to welcome Mohua to The Standard to lead our operations in India. Her skills and leadership characteristics fit well with The Standard’s culture and she will be an incredible asset to our company as we scale and grow our U.S. business.”

Sengupta said she is looking forward to leading the new GCC: “I’m delighted to join The Standard during this exciting time of rapid growth. The Standard India will provide access to specialized global talent here in India who will deliver more efficient solutions for current and future customers, and scale more sustainably.”

The GCC will operate out of Bengaluru and Pune and begin with 175 employees transitioning from Allstate India following the company’s April 2025 acquisition of the Allstate Employer Voluntary Benefits business.
