Invesco Mutual Fund launches Silver ETF and Fund of Fund; NFO open until November 9
Invesco Mutual Fund has launched two new schemes, Invesco India Silver ETF and Invesco India Silver ETF Fund of Fund, giving investors another way to add silver to their portfolios.
The New Fund Offers (NFOs) opened for subscription on October 27 and will close on November 9, 2026. The schemes aim to provide investors with exposure to silver through mutual fund products, without the need to buy and store the metal physically.
Silver has been attracting investor interest not only as a precious metal but also because of its growing industrial applications. The metal is used in solar panels, electric vehicles, semiconductors, 5G infrastructure and medical devices. According to the fund house, industrial applications account for nearly 60% of global silver demand, underlining the role of industrial consumption in the metal’s outlook.
The Invesco India Silver ETF will invest predominantly in physical silver with a purity of 99.9% or higher. It aims to generate returns in line with the price performance of physical silver, subject to tracking error. The scheme offers an alternative to physical silver ownership by removing concerns related to storage, purity, transportation and insurance.
The Invesco India Silver ETF Fund of Fund, meanwhile, will predominantly invest in units of the Invesco India Silver ETF. It is designed for investors who want exposure to silver through the mutual fund route without needing a demat account. Investors can choose between systematic investment plans (SIPs) and lump sum investments.
Both schemes will be managed by Abhisek Bahinipati.
During the NFO period, the minimum lump sum investment is ₹5,000 for the ETF and ₹1,000 for the Fund of Fund, with additional investments in multiples of ₹1.
The Fund of Fund offers daily SIPs starting at ₹20 through digital platforms, weekly and monthly SIPs starting at ₹100, and quarterly SIPs starting at ₹300. Additional investments can be made in multiples of ₹1.
An exit load of 1% will apply to units of the Fund of Fund redeemed or switched out on or before 15 days from allotment. No exit load will apply after this period.
The launch provides investors with two routes to silver exposure, depending on whether they prefer an exchange-traded product or a mutual fund structure that does not require a demat account.
