Maharashtra Tops Star Health’s Claims Payout Chart in FY26

Star Health and Allied Insurance has revealed that Maharashtra emerged as its highest claims-paying market in FY26, with the company settling ₹2,294 crore worth of claims covering 3.58 lakh cases in the region.

The insurer said claims payouts in Maharashtra grew 8 per cent year-on-year during the financial year. The company currently operates through 3400+ network hospitals, 87 branches, 1.23 lakh advisors and 58 Star Gramin Bima Kendras in the state.

At the national level, Star Health settled claims worth more than ₹11,900 crore covering over 30 lakh claims in FY26. Since inception, the insurer has settled claims worth over ₹67,800 crore covering more than 1.5 crore claims across India.
