Major announcements from Connect 2026

Meta is creating personal AI agents for everyone, along with a new range of devices that enable connectivity from anywhere. A significant update includes the introduction of Muse to AI glasses, enhancing the accessibility of personal AI agents on the go. Earlier this month, Muse was launched as an innovative personal AI agent designed to proactively assist users in achieving their goals. During Connect, Meta revealed plans to integrate Muse with AI glasses in the coming months, allowing users to interact with their personal agent more conveniently.

Bringing Muse to AI Glasses

Soon, users will be able to activate Muse by simply saying its name. Muse will be able to respond to what the user is looking at, eliminating the need to describe visible objects. Whether it’s a product on a shelf or a flyer on a wall, Muse will be able to take action as requested. This capability extends to having in-depth conversations with Muse, which continues to work in the background even during discussions.

Expanded Connectivity for Muse

Muse’s functionality is enhanced by its connectors. Initially launched with numerous partners, Muse has access to the complete Shopify catalog. Additional partners include Walmart, Best Buy, American Eagle Outfitters, DICK’S Sporting Goods, Fanatics, Gap, Michael Kors, Sephora, Ulta, and Wayfair, along with payment options like Shop Pay and PayPal. Upcoming partnerships with Expedia will aid travel planning, and Instacart will assist with kitchen restocking. For productivity, Muse collaborates with Notion, Granola, GitHub, and Box, with more partnerships expected soon. Moreover, Muse will have its own email address for extended communication capabilities.

Muse Charm and Advanced VR Glasses

The Muse Charm is an engaging device designed for interaction with Muse, incorporating cutting-edge real-time voice technology. Further details will be provided later this year. Meta’s VR glasses, the most advanced device to date, offer a personal cinema, sports viewing, workspace, and gaming console in a compact form. Weighing about 100 grams, these glasses provide immersive experiences without bulky hardware. They are the first VR device certified by IMAX Enhanced, enabling exclusive film experiences in partnership with several major media providers. The VR glasses also offer immersive live sports experiences with more than 100 events annually.

Innovative Audio and AI Glasses

Meta introduced Ray-Ban Meta Audio glasses, which combine earbuds and AI in lightweight, slim frames, allowing users to enjoy music, calls, and AI interactions while remaining aware of their surroundings. The next generation of Ray-Ban Meta glasses features improvements in comfort, battery life, and functionality. Additionally, the glasses collection has expanded to include new styles and features such as hearing enhancement, which aids those with mild to moderate hearing loss. This enhancement can be easily set up at home and will be available later this year for $149.99 or with a Meta One subscription.

Updates and Future Vision

Meta announced updates to the Meta Ray-Ban Display, adding features like hands-free navigation, personalized holograms for video calls, and Dolby Atmos capture. These enhancements will soon be available in additional countries, including the UK, Canada, France, Italy, and Germany. By the end of the year, Meta aims to offer over 100 options for AI glasses, integrating personal superintelligence into portable devices. Meta is committed to continuously innovating and making AI technology more accessible and beneficial for all users.
