Sony India Launches Two G Master Super-Telephoto Lenses Priced Up to ₹4.29 Lakh

Sony India has launched two new G Master super-telephoto prime lenses for its Alpha full-frame E-mount system, targeting wildlife, bird and sports photographers with lightweight designs and long focal lengths.

The new FE 400mm F4.5 GM OSS and FE 600mm F6.3 GM OSS are claimed by Sony to be the world’s lightest lenses in their respective categories. The 400mm lens weighs approximately 994 grams, while the 600mm variant weighs around 995 grams.

The FE 400mm F4.5 GM OSS is priced at ₹3,10,990, while the FE 600mm F6.3 GM OSS carries an MRP of ₹4,28,990. Both lenses are available in India from September 24 across Sony Centers, Alpha Flagship stores, authorised dealers, major electronic stores and e-commerce platforms.

Both lenses feature optical image stabilisation and two XD Linear Motors designed to provide fast, precise and quiet autofocus. Sony said the lenses are also compatible with the Alpha 9 III’s continuous shooting capabilities of up to 120 frames per second with AF/AE tracking.

The FE 400mm can reach up to 800mm with compatible teleconverters, while the FE 600mm can extend up to 1200mm.
