Liverpool beat Ajax to register their first win in UCL
Liverpool FC have defeated Ajax FC in the Tuesday’s fixtures of UEFA Champions League. Liverpool FC finally won a game as they had some draws and defeats in their recent games in all competitions. Jurgen Klopp would be happy to see that the ‘Reds’ (Liverpool FC) are back on track.
The season hasn’t started well for Jurgen Klopp and his team as they are on the 7th position in the Premier League points table and have won just 2 games out of 6 they played so far. Liverpool board still believes in Jurgen Klopp who has made them Premier League champions (2019/20) as well as Champions League winner (2018/19).
Recently, when Chelsea sacked their manager Thomas Tuchel, it was speculated that Jurgen Klopp will be sacked as well by Liverpool due to their poor start in the 2022/23 season. But Liverpool manager himself denied all the rumours and said there is good relationship between the club and the manager.
Talking about this game, Liverpool were better team than Ajax and hence deserved to win this. Mohammad Salah scored a goal and defender Joel Matip won it for Liverpool in the end. This was their first victory in the UEFA Champions League new season (2022/23) after they faced a humiliating defeat against Napoli last week.
