Sanju Samson to lead India A side in series against New Zealand A
Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced the 16-member squad of India A to play a one-day series against New Zealand A. BCCI has made this announcement on Friday, 16th September. Indian batter Sanju Samson will be leading the Indian A side against New Zealand A in this upcoming series.
There are some names on the squad list of India which has played for the senior team and also performed well. Fans really questioned the absence of Sanju Samson from the T20 World Cup squad. Sanju Samson was himself disappointed to see himself out of the squad as he performed well this year for India’s senior team.
Sanju wasn’t selected for mang series after IPL 2022 but delivered a good performance with the bat whenever he got a chance.
India A squad for the upcoming One-day series against New Zealand A:
Samson (C), Shaw, Easwaran, Ruturaj, Tripathi, Patidar, KS Bharat, Kuldeep Yadav, Shabhaz Ahmed, Rahul Chahar, Tilak Varma, Kuldeep Sen, Shardul, Umran Malik, Navdeep Saini and Raj Bawa.
Some youngsters have been named by the selectors. Pacer Umran Malik who made his debut for India this year is also been picked up by BCCI for this series. Ruturaj Gaikwad and Prithvi Shaw are also back in the squad.
