Ricky Ponting calls Virat Kohli “a legend of the game”

Former Australian skipper Ricky Ponting has praised Indian former captain Virat Kohli after he equalled his record of  71 centuries in the International cricket. Former cricketer Ricky Ponting called Virat Kohli “a legend of of the game in his latest interview. Ricky Ponting said this ahead of the first T20I between India and Australia.

The first T20I will be played in Mohali on Tuesday, 20th September. Virat Kohli has been named in the Indian squad for this three-match T20I series against Australia and will be seen playing in the games as well. Ricky Ponting feels the century that Virat Kohli scored wasn’t far and it was coming. Everyone, the fans, and experts believed in him and knew that the century from Kohli is somewhere near.

“It’s great to see him back in the runs. Great to see him back with a smile on his face. It was only a matter of time for Virat Kohli to equal my record of 71 hundreds. He is a legend of the game,” said Ricky Ponting via The ICC Review.

Indian cricket team are preparing for the World Cup which will start in the month of October. Virat Kohli would be hoping to add up some more centuries to his name after he got the 71st.
