Indian cricket team captain Rohit Sharma reacted after India won the second T20I against Australia on Friday, 23rd September in VCA Stadium, Nagpur. The match was reduced to 8 overs after the rain interupted the play. After it was reduced to 8 overs, Australia was invited to bat first by Rohit Sharma.
Australian team played well as Matthew Wade was again their star man with 43 runs in 20 balls. Matthew Wade’s superb innings helped Australia reach 90 runs in 8 overs. Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul opened the innings for India as always. The Indian captain started off the chase very well as the host were 30/0 in the first 2 overs.
KL Rahul, Virat Kohli, Suryakumar Yadav, and Hardik Pandya were dismissed early but the captain stayed at the crease till the end. Rohit Sharma scored 46 runs in 20 balls with the help of 4 fours and 4 sixes. The Indian team with this win over Australia in the second T20I levelled the series by 1-1.
“For the last 8-9 months I have been playing like that. I can’t really plan too much in such a shortened game,” said Rohit Sharma in the post-match interview as telecasted on Star Sports Network.
