Shardul Thakur gets engaged to girlfriend Mittali Parulkar

On Monday, in a small ceremony held at Mumbai Cricket Association’s facility, Indian cricketer Shardul Thakur engaged to his girlfriend, Mittal Parulkar. Around 75 people were present during the ceremony, and they consisted of family and friends of the couple.

According to a source of TOI, the wedding will take place next year after the T20 World Cup that is due to take place in Australia. “There is a small engagement function at the Mumbai Cricket Association facility in BKC on Monday, for which he has invited 75-odd guests-mostly close friends and family members,” reports TOI’s source.

Shardul Thakur was rested for the ongoing New Zealand tour of India due to workload management. In the past year or so, he has become an integral part of the team. He broke into the scene during India’s tour of Australia in 2020/21 when he played a tremendous knock in the final test of the series to help India complete a second consecutive win over the Australians in their own backyard. He contributed with the ball, but in recent times, he has honed his batting skills too. As a result, he had made an excellent name for himself.

Recently Thakur won the fourth title for CSK, after which he was named in the squad for World Cup in UAE. Although he couldn’t play a significant role for his team in this tournament, and they crashed out on the group stage, he will play an essential role in the upcoming tour of South Africa that starts next month.
