An Ivan Toney double secures the three points for Brentford

After some European games, the English Premier League is back in the action this week. The matchweek 11 started with a action packed game between Brentford FC and Brighton FC which was played in Brentford Community Stadium on Friday night, 14th October.

Brentford FC defeated Brighton by 2-0 and earned the three points in the game. However this results wasn’t expected as Brighton FC was in good form at the start of the season (2022/23). They lost to Tottenham Hotspur last weekend by 1-0.

Both the goals in the game was scored by the English striker named Ivan Toney. Ivan Toney is in amazing form and thus was selected by Gareth Southgate for the England national team squad recently. The first goal came in the 27th minute, thanks to Ivan Toney’s wonderful finish. English International scored with his back heel and gave the lead 1-0 to Brentford FC.

The first half ended with a same scoreline but things got little heated up between Brentford’s manager and Brighton’s manager. The second half sees one goal which again scored by Ivan Toney. This time Ivan Toney scored from the penalty spot and his penalty record remained intact. Ivan Toney have scored 20 penalties in all the 20 he has taken for Brentford FC.
