Arsenal FC had their fifth win in a row in the 2022/23 season of the Premier League. Arsenal played against Aston Villa FC on Wednesday night, 31st August at Emirates stadium (Arsenal’s home ground). The Gunners have maintained their 100% winning record in the Premier League and they are the only team to do so.
The first half started and Arsenal were on front. Their newly signed striker Gabriel Jesus who is in exceptional form scored another goal for the Gunners and gave a deserved lead to them. Half-time score was 1-0 but it could have been more from Arsenal side as they created some good chances.
Aston Villa who has a decent start to the season levelled up the scoreline by 1-1 after Douglas Luiz scored the goal in the 74th minute. The goal from Aston Villa gave confidence to the visitors, but the second goal from Arsenal was not so far. Gabriel Martinelli scored the second goal for Arsenal FC three minutes later the equaliser.
The victory for Arsenal has kept them on top of the points table and they will be playing against Manchester United in their next fixture.
