Asia Cup 2022: Ravindra Jadeja ruled out due to injury; Axar Patel replaces him

Indian cricket team all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja has been ruled out from the ongoing Asia Cup 2022 due to injury. The news was out on Friday, 2nd September. This is a bad news for the Indian fans as Jadeja is an all-rounder who is in a great run of form be it with bat, bowl or on the field. All-rounder Ravindra Jadeja will be sidelined for the rest of the tournament as said in an official statement from BCCI.

Ravindra Jadeja had a knee injury because of which he will not be in the squad. Jadeja played well in the first game of the Asia Cup which was against Pakistan cricket team. He made a good partnership with another all-rounder Hardik Pandya to make Indian victorious in this big encounter.

BCCI has also announced Ravindra Jadeja’s replacement in the Indian squad for this remainder of Asia Cup 2022. All-rounder Axar Patel will be in the squad in place of him. Axar Patel is also doing well for India lately and he was in the Indian squad in the recent ODI series against West Indies and Zimbabwe.
