Australia name Pat Cummins their new ODI skipper

Australian pace bowler Pat Cummins has been named captain of Australia in ODIs. After former captain Aaron Finch left ODI cricket, Australian cricket board was finding the suitable replacement of him who can take up the role of leadership. Australia believes Pat Cummins is the player who can captain this team in the ODI cricket.

The Australian cricket team is the defending champions in the ongoing T20 World Cup and will look to win the trophy again this year. The host has a chance to win this year as well as the team looks very strong. Opening batter Aaron Finch is the Australian captian of the team in T20Is and also captaining his side in this World Cup.

Pat Cummins is a good pace bowler who can also give batting option in the end. “I have thoroughly enjoyed playing under Finchy and have learnt an enormous amount from his leadership,” Pat Cummins said as reported by Cricket Australia (official website of Australian cricket).

Pacer Pat Cummins will replace Aaron Finch as ODI captain and as per him there are significant shoes to fill in.
