BCCI add Mohammed Siraj for South Africa’s series in place of injured Jasprit Bumrah
Indian cricket team will play the second T20I against South Africa on Sunday, 2 October. India is already leading this 3-matcj T20I series by 1-0. But ahead of this second game, Indian fans heard a bad news as star pacer Jasprit Bumrah is injured again and won’t be seen playing in this series. Not only in this series, but he won’t be seen in the T20 World Cup as well.
Indian test cricket pacer Mohammed Siraj has been added to the squad in place of injured Jasprit Bumrah. Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) hasn’t decided the replacement of Bumrah for the upcoming T20 World Cup yet. BCCI added Mohammed Siraj as he did play some games this year in blue jersey against Zimbabwe and West Indies.
It will be different for the Indian fans, seeing T20 World Cup without Jasprit Bumrah and star all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja. The world cup is near and thus the skipper and team management doesn’t want any player to get injured in this crucial time. It seems Rohit Sharma will keep this in mind and to avoid injuries some young players could be seen playing in the remaining games against South Africa.
