Check out the top 10 most expensive players sold in the IPL Mega Auction 2022.

Bengaluru hosted the IPL Mega Auction 2022 from February 12 to 13. The 10 IPL clubs paid over Rs 551 crore on 204 players, including 67 overseas cricketers, during the auction.

Ishan Kishan, the wicketkeeper-batsman, was the most expensive player sold at the end of the two-day auction. On Day 1, Mumbai Indians paid Rs 15.25 crore for Ishan Kishan. The Mumbai Indians was able to purchase Kishan despite a bidding war with SunRisers Hyderabad. In the 15th edition of the IPL, he will continue to play for the Mumbai Indians.

 

At the IPL Mega Auction 2022, England all-rounder Liam Livingstone was the most expensive overseas player. On Day 2 of the auction, he was purchased by Punjab Kings for a hefty Rs 11.50 crore after a fierce bidding war with Gujarat Titans and Sunrisers Hyderabad. The most expensive foreign player sold at the auction on Day 1 was Sri Lankan cricketer Wanindu Hasaranga to Royal Challengers Bangalore for Rs 10.75 crore.
