Chelsea set to appoint Graham Potter as new manager
Chelsea FC have agreed a deal to bring a new manager in their team. Brighton’s manager named Graham Potter has set to be appointed as the new Chelsea FC boss in this season only. Chelsea FC sacked German manager Thomas Tuchel on Wednesday, 7th September. Chelsea FC owner Todd Boehly didn’t have a great connection with Chelsea’s former coach (Thomas Tuchel) and after the team lost their first UCL game of the new season they decided to part ways with him.
Chelsea FC after sacking Thomas Tuchel kept only one priority for the managerial role and that was Brighton’s manager Graham Potter. Graham Potter was also interested in listening to Chelsea’s offers but needed a formal meeting before that. On Thursday, after training with Brighton squad, Graham agreed a personal terms with Chelsea FC and then it was confirmed by the Italian football journalist Fabrizio Romano on his official Twitter handle.
“Graham Potter will be appointed as new Chelsea manager, as expected. Agreement in place, contracts now being prepared as proposal has been accepted. Here we go,” tweeted Fabrizio Romano on Thursday.
The agreement between the two parties will be completed in the next few hours.
